When the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company experienced train and yard delays at its Belen Yard, it
was determined that major improvements were needed. Santa Fe turned
to Hanson-Wilson Inc. (HWI) for an experienced construction management
team to supervise the construction of the mainline fueling facility.
From start to finish, HWI provided the Santa Fe with the highest
level of experience and service that allowed the railway personnel
to continue their day-to-day activities without interruption.
Other services provided by HWI included the staking and layout of
new track to greatly improve the efficiency of the yard, and a revised
drainage plan to alleviate standing water problems.
Working as a team with the Santa Fe Railway, HWI helped provide
a state-of-the-art fueling facility and an efficient yard enabling
them to reduce train delays and fueling time. HWI's quality of work
and careful attention to cost control ensured that Santa Fe got
a cost-effective, quality project.
