Hanson-Wilson Inc. designed three separate projects at the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company's Barstow, CA Maintenance Facility:

• Running Repair Facility Addition: This project nearly doubled the existing running repair facility, which provides light locomotive repair. The expansion included lengthening the maintenance tracks and access platforms in the building.
• Locomotive Wash Facility: The new wash facility has four main functional areas:
  1) the inbound drip pad area; 2) the wash bay; 3) out-bound drip pad area. 4) support area which houses the equipment, tanks, pumps, and controls.
• Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facility: includes new influent pump stations, screen, oil/water separator, storm water holding tank, dissolved air flotation clarifier, chemical feed system, and effluent sand filtration.
