U.S. ARMY Corps of Engineers, Savannah District Honey Cutt Rail Yard Improvements
Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Honeycutt Rail Yard is used for mobilizing light equipment associated with the XVIII Airborne Corps. Hanson-Wilson Inc. provided the following improvements to the yard located at Fort Bragg, NC.

  • Track and turnout rehabilitation involving replacement of existing 100-lb. rail with 115-lb. relay rail and selective tie replacement
  • Installation of a new loading track
  • Realignment of turnout and track geometry in the yard ladder area
  • Installation of a new concrete hardstand loading area and several new loading ramps
  • Installation of a new power-operated bi-level loading ramp and rehabilitation of an existing loading ramp
  • Installation of drainage improvements
  • Installation of a new tactical access road
