Hanson-Wilson was selected to expand a BNSF taconite transloading facility. The construction included an enlarged storage area for taconite ore and an underground rail car unloading station; construction of dock bins and anchor bulkhead sheeting on Lake Superior that would enable ore transfer to shipping barges; and a connecting conveyor system and associated structures. |

Located between the rapidly growing western suburbs of Aurora and Naperville, IL, the Route 59 Station is the busiest commuter rail station in Metra's system. Even at 3,000 spaces, the station's parking capacity was insufficient. Therefore, Metra initiated and funded a project to double parking availability at the station. |
