Conrad Ley to Lead Wilson & Company Transportation Operations in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, NM April 3, 2020 Wilson & Company, Inc. Engineers & Architects, a national engineering and architecture firm with award-winning multi-disciplinary projects and culture defined by exceptional relationships, promoted Conrad Ley, PE, to New Mexico Transportation Operations Manager. Conrad will oversee transportation services while leading a growing team of professionals to offer innovative solutions throughout New Mexico.

Conrad has become a mentor to his coworkers and has demonstrated successful team management throughout his career. We look forward to him leading our New Mexico group,” said Vice President Edward Cordova, PE, PTOE.

Conrad brings more than 12 years of experience working in tandem with clients to meet the goals of project stakeholders while connecting with the community to meet their needs through local, regional, and state transportation efforts. Upon graduation from New Mexico State University, Conrad began working with the Wilson & Company transportation team on the US 64 corridor from Bloomfield to Farmington, New Mexico. This area is driven by the oil and gas industry and needed additional capacity between the two communities. Conrad’s role grew as the four-phase project progressed, and his hands-on approach and servant leader attitude allowed him to ultimately end up designing a majority of the 10-mile corridor and become the responsible Professional Engineer for the last 6 miles. The project, which started in 2004 as a study, is slated to be completed this summer with a total of $100 million in construction. Conrad was successful in each phase of the project because he took the time to get to know his client, the community, and stakeholders involved.

In addition to being a New Mexico and Arizona Professional Engineer, Conrad is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and was recently on the American Council of Engineering Consultants New Mexico Board. Conrad also has a strong connection to basketball, and he volunteers his time to develop players with a local high school team (Hope Christian Huskies).
