Engineers & Architects, a national engineering and architecture firm with award-winning multi-disciplinary projects and culture defined by exceptional relationships, promoted four officer-level positions to drive rapid expansion. These new officers will use Higher Relationships to foster growth opportunities, leading to a seamless project process for public and private clients.

Vice President Steve Salazar, PE, incorporates 21 years of comprehensive experience in all facets of civil engineering to lead the Municipal Services North Region Team of 44 staff in Colorado, Utah, and Kansas. Steve efficiently drills down to the core of a client’s need and succinctly addresses the concern by utilizing a process that shares the ownership of the solution with the client.

Vice President Dave Olson, PE, has 20 years of engineering experience and is an Operations Manager in Wilson & Company’s Rail Division. Dave oversees staff located in Omaha, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Construction Management staff in Los Angeles and Hearne (Texas). Dave is known for his ability to balance numerous tasks on large-scale projects, which he has demonstrated by overseeing all aspects of project design simultaneously on expansive, multi-disciplinary railroad projects. Dave serves on Wilson & Company’s Board of Directors.

“Higher Relationships is what sets us apart. It is a genuine offer we extend to every employee and to every client and community we serve. And through this, we have grown as a Company and helped those we serve accomplish great things,” said Steven Watt, PE, President, and Chief Executive Officer. “I look forward to working with Andy, Scott, Steve, and Dave in their new roles as we continue to grow.”

Wilson & Company added enough staff to grow by more than 11% in 2018, which helped them respond to the rapid increase in demand for the multi-disciplinary services offered by the firm. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this matches the growing national need for more civil engineers as infrastructure continues to age. Employment of civil engineers is projected to grow by 11% between 2016 and 2026 to manage projects to rebuild, repair, and upgrade bridges, roads, levees, dams, airports, buildings, and structures of all types.
