Jose Rodriguez, PE, has joined Wilson & Company in the Kansas City office as a Senior Traffic Engineer.
“I am excited about Jose joining our team here in Kansas City,” said Troy Eisenbraun, Senior Vice President. “He brings an extensive and diverse background in traffic analysis, operations, and safety that will complement our transportation planning and design capabilities.”
Jose has over 16 years of experience in traffic studies and operations through his work for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) in northwest Missouri. One of his signature projects was co-authoring the Arterial Mobility Plan for the Northwest District of MoDOT, which improves signalized arterial communications and operational performance measures. He also served as the traffic control designer and coordinator for the Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program in northwest Missouri that rehabilitated or replaced 155 bridges to improve the safe travel and overall condition of bridges in the region.
Most recently, Jose lead development of traffic accommodation plans for highways in the Saint Joseph, MO area in preparation for the huge crowds traveling to the area for the total solar eclipse.
Jose has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University at Fresno, and is a licensed professional engineer in Missouri. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
In his spare time, he enjoys game nights with his family, volunteers in the audio-visual and youth ministries at his church, and is elated it is football season once again.
