Crude Oil Loading Terminal Transfer Facility - Stanley, ND

Wilson & Company formed a multi-disciplined team for the design and construction of a crude oil rail facility in less than 12 months.

Critical path scheduling and special construction techniques were necessary for constructing the facility quickly during the harsh winter weather conditions experienced in Stanley.

The facility was designed to load 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day into one 100-car unit train, where it is transported to Oklahoma and other points south for refining.

  • The crude oil is supplied to multiple storage tanks through a pipeline installed by EOG/Pecan Pipeline and by on-site truck unloading facilities
  • Loading operations are completed through an elevated rail side safety platform allowing 14 cars to be loaded simultaneously
