Designed to mimic the schools mascot - the cardinal, the Athletic Field House is a new $4.5 million facility for Eunice Public Schools.
The facility has dual entrances to allow easy access to both the baseball and the football fields. The locker rooms serve track, baseball, football, and general physical education. The flexible design allows interior building circulation to be split between the home team and a visiting team. This capability allows the school district to expand its role in regional athletics programs, and promotes the importance of a well-rounded education that includes athletics.
The 11,600 SF building provides equally-sized facilities for male and female athletes, and includes:
-
Locker rooms
-

The location of the new Athletic Field House was determined through a comprehensive study of the entire campus. Natural and safe pedestrian movements across the campus, and current and future vehicular circulation patterns played key roles that accommodate current needs and long-range development. New grandstands, track and field, and additional parking locations were also reviewed as part of the Athletic Facility Master Plan, and will be designed as later phases.
