Laguna Route L26 (Rainfall Road) - New Mexico

The Laguna Route L26 improvements project included reconstructing deteriorating pavement while improving corridor safety and drainage. The existing roadway is considered a rural arterial roadway, and provides service connections for internal collectors and driveways. It had no usable shoulders, and the roadway is used as a primary school bus route for the surrounding communities.

The design includes 2-12’ driving lanes, 2-2’ shoulders, and tapers. A multi-use trail is also proposed to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists.

Design was completed in spring of 2017, and construction is expected to be complete in 2018.
