Laughlin Air Force Base Comprehensive Base Mapping and GIS Development - Del Rio, TX

Under an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery (ID/IQ) contract with the Tulsa District Corps of Engineers, Wilson & Company performed photogrammetric mapping and field surveys for GIS database and master plans development through a series of three task orders for a seven-square-mile facility.

Technical work included:

  • Black and white at 2000-foot AMT and 4000-foot AMT
  • Color at 16,000-foot AMT for photo enlargements
  • GPS control network established at the base to tie field surveys, mapping, and future projects together
  • Analytical aerotriangulation and digital data compilation performed on 100 stereo models of low-altitude photography
  • Aerotriangulation and digital orthophoto production
  • Real Time Kinematic GPS field surveys used to collect more than 800 utility features
