Utah Office Continues to Expand Staff

Wilson & Company continues to hire new staff members to meet the growing demand for survey and right of way, municipal development, and transportation services in Utah.

“We are delighted to announce several additions to our Utah operations,” said Stephen Bryan, Utah Operations Manager. “As we diversify and expand our local footprint, we continue to add key personnel. It is exciting to be bringing in so much great talent which will allow us to better serve all of our clients.”

Joseph Anderson is a drainage engineer with 12 years’ experience developing environmentally sensitive site and land development plans for private, county, and municipal clients. His expertise includes designing sustainable urban drainage systems, including source, site, and regional control measures to prevent water pollution, reduce the risk of flooding, and minimize impacts to the environment. He also specializes in optimizing roadway drainage systems on transportation-related projects. This includes the design of culverts, storm drains, ditches, and channels; stormwater management; erosion and sediment control; bank protection;
and structure hydraulics.

Joseph has a bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Utah and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Josh Gore has 10 years’ experience in the land surveying industry. He is proficient in boundary, topography, ALTA/NSPS, and right of way surveying. He works with the Utah office using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Trimble Business Center, Trimble GPS, and Trimble Robotics to provide surveying and mapping services. His most noteworthy projects include the Pioneer Crossing and American Fork Interchange, where he performed right of way services for the first Diverging Diamond Interchange constructed in the United States. He also provided mapping services to the U.S. Forest Service for Mill Creek Canyon Road in Salt Lake County.

Josh has an associate of applied science degree in Geomatics from the Salt Lake Community College. He is a member of the Utah Council of Land Surveyors. 

As a roadway designer, Wesley Boggs assists in preparing plans, specifications, estimates, exhibits, and calculations for transportation-related projects. His experience includes optimizing the geometric design of various types of thoroughfares, including local roads, collector and distributor roads, and sub-arterial and arterial roads. His primary focus is applying enhanced models, diagnostic tools, and analytic methodology to determine the effectiveness of operational and geometric improvement strategies in urban and suburban environments. 

He has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University.

Kagan Dixon has nine years’ experience as a land surveyor, with expertise in boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and subdivision platting. He is highly experienced with Trimble equipment and AutoCAD Civil 3D. He has completed more than 200 surveys, mostly along the Wasatch Front in Utah. He has also completed several surveys for UDOT design-build projects, including Pioneer Crossing and American Fork Interchange and Geneva Road. He has an associate of applied science degree in Geomatics from the Salt Lake Community College. He is a licensed professional land surveyor in Utah.

With a background in civil and structural engineering as well as architecture, Ryan Park assists the Utah office in designing transportation-related projects as well as vertical structures. He has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State University. While in college, Ryan worked for his family’s engineering and architecture firm where he assisted in the planning and design of residential developments throughout Utah. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys web design and is familiar with basic HTML, CSS, and design principles.
