Gary Goodemote and Chris Wilkinson III Join Wilson & Company to Expand Environmental Services

Wilson & Company continues to enhance its environmental practice with the addition of Gary Goodemote, Environmental Practice Lead, West Region, covering Arizona, California, and Nevada; and Chris Wilkinson III, PWD, Environmental Practice Lead, Midwest Region, covering Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

“Chris and Gary bring a tremendous amount of expertise to our national team of environmental professionals, and I am thrilled to have them leading our growth in key Midwest and West regional markets. Their commitment to cultivating Higher Relationships will create new and exciting opportunities for our environmental practice and Wilson & Company while strengthening existing partnerships. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!” said Jon Chesser, CEP, Associate Vice President, National Environmental Practice Lead.

Gary brings more than 35 years of experience in environmental consulting, program management, operations and strategic initiatives management, and environmental restoration project delivery services within the federal, civil architecture and engineering, commercial and industrial, and energy markets. Gary has demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation, partnering on a $1.5M task order that turned into a $13M portfolio through strategic contracting for a federal facility. As the Program Manager for Performance Based Environmental Multiple Award Contracts (PERMAC) and Small Business Environmental Multiple Award Contracts (SB EMAC), Gary successfully managed over $15M in annual gross revenue. Under his guidance, the largest concrete recycling project in Air Force history was completed three months ahead of schedule, saving the Air Force over $600K on a $7.5M Task Order. His commitment to mentorship is equally impressive, having developed a protégé firm into a thriving 8(a) business that secured over $18M in sole source awards within five years.  An active member of the Society of American Engineers (SAME) since 1993, he has served in various positions on the San Diego Post Board of Directors since 2012 and currently holds the position of Post Treasurer, one of five elected officials. Recently, he was honored with the title of Fellow.

Chris’s nearly 20 years of experience includes project management, scientific and technical report preparation and submittal, preparing and submitting NEPA environmental assessments, categorical exclusions, and programmatic categorical exclusions documents. Chris has proven experience in leading environmental commitments and securing key permits for major infrastructure projects. He has played a critical role in obtaining environmental permits from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality for high-profile projects like the I-495 NEXT Design-Build and I-81 Capacity Improvements in Virginia. His leadership ensured compliance with environmental regulations and contributed to the successful advancement of these projects. As an Environmental Practice Lead at Wilson & Company, Chris managed environmental assessments and documentation for significant transportation initiatives, including the I-35 Capacity Improvements in Kansas and the I-435 South Loop Link in Missouri, where his collaboration helped maintain delivery schedule and minimize construction impacts. His expertise in environmental compliance has proven instrumental in securing positive outcomes for projects for local, state, and federal regulatory agency projects. With a history of successful projects in the Midwest, he further cultivates relationships in the region while managing Wilson & Company’s local environmental practice, supporting and executing work in transportation, railroad, and municipal industries.

With Gary’s and Chris’ combined decades of hands-on project management and environmental expertise, their experience significantly enhances the firm’s national environmental practice. Their proven track records in securing key permits, managing large-scale infrastructure projects, and driving innovative solutions ensure that clients will benefit from unparalleled industry knowledge and a commitment to excellence. Together, they lead efforts to support and execute projects across the West and Midwest regions, delivering outstanding results while fostering Higher Relationships and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations at every level.
